How it works

A simple path from start to result.

  1. 01

    Add the material

Enter the price per kilo and how many grams the part will use.

  2. 02

    Include the forgotten costs

Add electricity, labour, maintenance, packaging, paint, screws and any other materials.

  3. 03

    Check the result

See the total cost and use the suggestions as a starting point for your selling price.

Real cost

Filament is only one part of the sum

A part can look cheap when you only count the grams it uses. Electricity, printer wear, working time and finishing all come out of your pocket too.

To work out the cost of PLA or PETG filament, divide the price per kilo by one thousand and multiply by the grams used. The 3D printing calculator does this for every filament you enter.

Gestor 3D brings these expenses together in a single result, so you are less likely to sell without noticing that your margin has disappeared.

Result

See where every figure comes from

The result separates filament, electricity, maintenance, labour and extras. That way you can review the data and adjust your price with confidence.

Common questions

Quick answers before you start.

How do I work out the cost of the filament used?

The price per kilo is divided by one thousand and multiplied by the number of grams the part uses.

Does the calculator include electricity?

Yes. You can enter the printer's power, the print time and your electricity rate to include this cost.

Do I have to use the suggested price?

No. It is a starting point based on the multipliers you configure. You still decide the final price according to your market and your strategy.

Can I price parts that use more than one filament?

Yes. You can enter several filaments and the amount used of each one.
